Our girls are getting so big!
Lillian turned 2 last month and now Audrey is 5 - it's hard to believe!
We have had a long, cold, snowy winter and are very excited that it will be the first day of spring on Thursday! With our last snowfall on Monday, this officially became the second snowiest winter in recorded history for Philadelphia!
We spent most of our weekends this winter looking at houses. The poor girls, often during Lillian's nap time on the weekends, had to climb in and out of the car in the cold weather. But it looks like we finally were successful and have found a house we love. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we will close on May 7th.
Audrey has been doing really well at school and started kindergarten at the end of January. We almost wish she had switched sooner, she is loving it and really thriving. Her reading and writing skills are progressing so quickly, it's exciting to see! Here is a video last month of her reading, and she really has advanced since then!
Lillian is also enjoying her class at preschool. She is counting and saying her ABCs and can say pretty much anything. It's quite funny to hear her say hippopotamus. She is still very active and loves to follow Audrey around and imitate her.
Here are the girls doing art:
And here is Lillian on her birthday!
The awesome cake that Michael made:
Nana & Lillian, we were so glad that Nana was able to come for Lillian's birthday:
Nana brought Canada shirts for Michael & Uncle Dave:
Audrey has been experimenting with my camera. Here is one of her self-portraits:
Michael's dad came down for Audrey's birthday and we had a whole week of celebrations. We started with dinner in Hoboken with Uncle Dave:
And we ended the week with Audrey's party with her friends. She had made a new year's wish to learn how to ice skate, so we went ice skating for her birthday! It was quite a spectacle to see the group of 5 year olds (and some of the parents!) when they first went out on the ice. But Audrey did great and had a blast! She fell a few times, but got up and got right back to it.
And we had our first grocery store cake for Audrey's birthday. A Disney "Frozen" cake seemed appropriate for an ice skating party.
My big girl.
I had been making a video of each of the girls on their birthdays so far, but was running behind this year. (I'm still using pregnancy as an excuse!) But the other night we had fun making a few short videos...here is one for now!
We are looking forward to an extremely exciting spring with a new baby and a new house. I will do my best to keep everyone updated!
