We have been busy having lots of fun! The girls and I have been to New York City three times in the last week!
Our friend Candace came to visit and we went to Brooklyn and the Jersey shore last weekend, then we met up with our friend Nersi from Toronto who just happened to be in Manhattan on Monday, and then we went back again for the Fourth of July. We had a fun day exploring Manhattan with Uncle Dave and watching the fireworks from Hoboken (just across the river).
After all that fun, we've had some restful days at home. It was good timing since the temperatures have been up around 100 degrees farenheit with a lot of humidity! Luckily for us we have a nice swimming pool at our apartment complex and we've been making good use of that. Audrey is a little nervous but is getting more confident in the water.
Lillian has just recovered from a pretty bad cold, but she handled it well. She also had a bit of a hard time dealing with the extreme heat lately, and we've found out that she is absolutely crazy about drinking water. When she sees us drinking out of a bottle of water she gets super excited and I like to let her try to drink some from my bottle.
Lillian made some exciting advances this weekend - she rolled over for the first time and she started giggling. Both very exciting things! She has had a funny little grunting laugh for the last month, but now, but yesterday it turned into a real laugh.
The thing that really made Lillian laugh today was her favorite person - Audrey of course :) Audrey is very sweet with her and likes to do little things to help take care of her. She will bring Lillian a toy or put a blanket on her feet. Yesterday Lillian was fussing a little while I was distracted and Audrey decided to try to soothe her by letting her suck on her fingers. Thankfully Audrey is usually very careful and gentle with Lillian, and she knows not to give her anything to small.

Audrey is having a great summer. She loves her preschool and seems to have a great time on the two mornings a week that she goes. She is really enjoying her Ballet & Tap class also. She is also learning more letters and letter sounds and likes to pick up her familiar books and "read" them to herself.
We are very proud of both of our girls! And we are looking forward to more fun this summer. Next week Auntie Chrystal, Uncle Justin, Cousins Adele & Jonny and Papa are coming to visit, as well as our friend from Kentucky, Crystal, and Nana! Not quite all at once, but close. It should be an adventure!

The full moon rose up over the city right before the fireworks. The picture really doesn't do it justice - it was bright red, I've never seen one like it.
