Happy Memorial Day!

Wow, I have a lot to catch up on.  The last two months have been extremely busy around here.  I've been working a lot and then and then we try to have as much fun as possible on the weekends.

Lillian is changing rapidly now.  She runs around full speed and is learning new words quite quickly.  She definitely understands much of what we are saying.  She now says Mama, Dada, bye, go, a version of Audrey, Nana, more, no, and quite a few other words, including some that don't sound quite right but she says consistently, like ba-luh for balloon.

Audrey is almost done her year of pre-school and has been doing so well.  Her writing is improving and she is starting to read, which is very exciting.  She also does a lot of art work and is always painting, drawing or coloring.

Here is Lillian at the Little Treehouse Cafe in our neighborhood.

Audrey got to bungee jump at a nearby mall.  She looked a little freaked out, but she enjoyed it and keeps asking to go back.

At a gymnastics birthday party.

Easter!

Audrey with her friend Kira - they just can't stop being silly.  They are very good friends and play so well together.

Lillian loves baby dolls and strollers.  Baby was one of her first words.

Enjoying a Spring day.  We've had a cool Spring, with some beautiful days in the mix.

At the zoo!

Audrey and Kira at the zoo.

Papa came for a surprise one day visit for my birthday.  We were all very happy to see him!

At the Science Festival.  Another cold day.

Audrey and Lillian are so lucky to be growing up in such an interesting city, they get to see and do so many neat things.  I love this fountain in Logan Circle.  It's surrounded by the original library and several of the museums on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Audrey managed to get soaked while enjoying this fountain.  Luckily we usually have a change of clothes with us.

This tiny park was so well designed.  I can't wait to go back in the summer when it will have water running in it to make a little river and pond to splash in.

And we found an interesting sculpture on our way back to the car!

Audrey's friend Reagan.

Lillian just couldn't wait to take a bath.

The Back to the Future Delorean at the Philadelphia International Festival of Art.  It was a really cool festival with a lot of unusual experiences.

Audrey with Kira's family.

Uncle Costia came to visit and explored the PIFA street fair with us too.  The girls loved having him visit!

They closed down a major street in Philly for the festival, and even had areas that were gardens with lawns for the day!

Lillian and Audrey enjoyed the dinosaur petting zoo.

I hope everyone else has had a lovely spring.  We are really looking forward to summer and all the fun we are going to have.
